Well done to our 11 scouts who took part in this year's challenge. The object of the exercise was for the teams to get to all the bases in order whilst avoiding being caught by ‘enemy agents’. The ‘agents’ were patrolling most of the area, but there were some ‘safe areas’. It took place in Dyfinant Forest Click here.

All teams were given the same maps and information with regard to the locations of the checkpoints. What route each team took was up to them, this is what makes Operation Commando so challenging.

Abermule Scouts went camping at Staylittle and took part in various activities including rock climbing, archery and bridge building. This was the first camp for many of our scouts and an experience for us all. After 5 hours of sleep they were up and ready for breakfast but found that setting fire to bread was a lot more fun than making toast. It was a huge success and good preparation for the All Wales Camp in June.
