Abermule Scout Group in Montgomeryshire

Friday 11th March 2015

Route:          From Pen-y-Bryn, south of Castle Caereinion to Belan Old School between Welshpool and Berriew.

Full details of the route including maps will be provided on the night. We will be issuing the grid references suitably beforehand so you can use the route for navigation practise at your meetings if you wish.

Start Time:     From 7.00pm (start times will be allocated to each Team)

Finish time:    LATE – between 12 midnight to 13.30 might be expected

Cost:              Fee will be paid by Abermule Scouts

This annual Area event is for both the Scout and Explorer sections, and has a number of “Incident Bases” where little challenges will be set. There will be a “nosh base” for a hot-dog and drink about half way round, and it’s about 6 miles.

There is limited space for some to bed down in the Old School afterwards, but there is also a field next door which can be used for camping overnight.

We need to know how many teams are coming, so please confirm with Peter or Bill that you are coming with rough numbers by Monday 29th February latest, and firm up expected team numbers to Bill by Monday 7th March latest for him to issue start times.   You will be asked to confirm actual names and numbers on the night.
